We have all heard the quote, “The mountains are calling and I must go,” written by the infamous John Muir. This statement is one of the truest statements ever written. Taking a hike in the mountains is nothing short of magical. It is in the mountains that your head becomes clear of all the clutter, you are able to find joy in the small details, and your stress somehow lessens. At times you are stretched further than you could imagine and it isn’t until you reach the top of the mountain where you realize how thankful you are to be stretched. This is why we encourage everyone who visits Blackstone Rivers Ranch to take a trek through the wilderness. It is important to get outside of the city and embrace all that nature has to offer. If you are planning a Destination wedding, an Elopement wedding, or your absolute Dream wedding, take the gift that nature is offering you and clear your head of all the stress that goes into planning a wedding. Get outside and take a breath of fresh air… The mountains are calling your name!

For your ease, we have provided some of our favorite Clear Creek County, Idaho Springs area hiking trails, courtesy of The Idaho Springs Visitor Center. Check them out by clicking side “1” or side “2” and have fun exploring the beautiful Rocky Mountains!
