It may be still summer outside, but for those of you planning a fall wedding, it’s the last months before the Big Day. Most definitely, you want everything to come together beautifully, and you want to make sure everything is properly planned.
What are the particularities of a fall wedding you should know about, though?
We have some tips for you – so read on and find out more.
· Fall weather. Fall weather can be quite tricky when you think of it – one day you can get a stunning Indian summer, the next day can be rainy and grey. Unfortunately, you cannot plan the weather on your wedding day – but what you can do is plan for the weather to be unpredictable and be prepared. If you want to have an early fall outdoor wedding, be sure there is some sort of indoor option or a tent in place in case it rains. And have a source for umbrellas too. Better safe than sorry!
· Fall holidays. Halloween and Thanksgiving are two of the most popular holidays celebrated in the US – so take them into consideration when you plan your fall wedding. Keep in mind that scheduling your Big Day on or near one of these holidays can be a double-edged sword. On the one hand, creating a wedding around one of them can be fun and allow for unique décor and themes. On the other hand, you might have fewer guests able to attend your wedding because conflicting family obligations due to the holidays.
· Fall colors. Most often, people associate fall colors with shades of yellow, red, and brown – but you can definitely go beyond all that when it comes to your wedding! Purple, red, maroon, Marsala, grey – they are all very popular during the fall season and they can look absolutely stunning.
· Fall motifs. This season can be incredibly generous when it comes to food and flowers, so why not get some of that into your wedding too? Bringing in pumpkins, apples, as well as seasonal blooms and foliage can add a dash of uniqueness to your wedding and make it feel better coordinated with the season outside.
