Wow, what a beautiful wedding! October 7th, 2016 was a wedding that will never be forgotten. From the moment Sarah and Skye stepped onto the property, there was nothing but laughter, hugs, and heartfelt conversations between family and friends. We love these kinds of weddings!

On October 7th, Skye and Sarah officially won the award for Most Thoughtful Bride and Groom. As a guest, you assume that it will be a chilly evening in the mountains in the month of October, but you still want to dress with beauty and style. Skye and Sarah must have known this logic, so they thought ahead to bring a vintage trunk full of blankets for the guests who would not be bringing jackets. Needless to say, each one of these blankets was used as guests listened to a beautiful ceremony take place with the rush of the creek around them.
The wedding planner, Cheryl Page, did a fantastic job at making sure everything was in place for the ceremony and the reception. She did not have one look of stress on her face the entire night. Blackstone staff kindly turned on the complimentary heaters so guests would be comfortable during the evening’s events. As attendees were enjoying drinks and snacks during cocktail hour, Sarah and Skye decided to have a private dinner for the two of them in the Glory Hole Lounge. With this set up, the two of them were able to get in a few moments themselves and then greet and converse with guests during the dinner hour. What a great idea! Your wedding day does not have to be stressful. If you want a few private minutes with your spouse here at Blackstone, we will make sure that happens for you. This is your wedding day and it should be a day where you are able to soak in all the sweet moments with your new spouse.
One thing that we pride ourselves on is the flexibility in choosing packages that fit you! For this wedding, the bride and groom chose to have the first-ever pizza party at Blackstone! Hailing from Beau Jo’s pizza in downtown Idaho Springs, guests lined up for seconds and thirds. These pizzas were set on 12” rounded wood slices which added to the couple’s theme of rustic, modern décor. Another feature that was neat about this couple was their choice of a donut bar for dessert. Donuts were set on different serving platters and the table was covered with floral arrangements and different greenery. Behind the donut bar a banner reading, “Here’s To Forever,” hung on the tent side for added decoration. Sarah and Skye were spotted on the dance floor all night long laughing and smiling as if this was the best day of their lives. To end this magical night, wedding guests gathered under the tall, rustic, and refined bridge to shout their excitement for Skye and Sarah as they exited their perfect wedding day. Congratulations, Sarah and Skye!!!
