CREATE A FIRST DANCE ROUTINE THAT WILL WOW YOUR WEDDING GUESTS

Updated: May 15, 2019

Together from the moment you walk down the aisle, to the moment you say “I Do”, your first dance will be one of the most magical highlights of your Wedding Day. Memorable, sweet and genuinely romantic, this moment will speak about your relationship in more ways than you ever thought possible.

How to make sure you create a first dance routine that will truly wow your wedding guests? We have some tips for you – so read on and find out more:

· Make it a moment and NOT a performance. The image above is definitely a performance. Make sure your guests are experiencing the moment, a connection with you, and not simply a performance.

· Go for a classic. Nothing can compete with a timeless song for the first dance. A classic love song or an elegant waltz can make you feel as if you were on Cloud Nine – and it can be easily learned, rehearsed and performed at the wedding. If you want to stay within the safe zone and to be romantic, this is the best option for you.

· Movie imitation. If you and your loved one have a favorite movie dance scene, why not take inspiration from it? Invite that movie scene into your first dance by re-enacting it and guests will be more than pleasantly surprised. Yes, it does take a little more research and rehearsing, but it will be truly worth it too.

· Surprise dance. This is a great idea for couples who think out-of-the-box and who want to have some real fun with their first dance. Start with a slow song and leave guests think you’re going to be really traditional about your first dance. Then suddenly switch to a high-energy song nobody would have ever thought you would pick for this moment. This is a nice surprise everyone will love!
